This month, we paused to reflect on Anzac Day. Across the country, and the world, we saw both current and former serving personnel, their loved ones and the wider community come together to commemorate the day.
Invictus Australia staff observed this day in their local communities, attending services across the country. This year we also had the support of many organisations wishing to highlight the strength, resilience and bravery of veterans and families. Thank you to the Essendonians, Channel Nine and the NRL for helping us mark this day.
We’ve joined forces with the Australian Masters Games to encourage the defence community to compete as part of Team Veteran at their 20th Anniversary event. If you are a veteran or family member, learn more below.
City2Surf is more than a fun run — it’s about community, the challenge and the endorphin rush at the finish line. This year, we are inviting you to compete with purpose by joining Team Veteran and fundraising for Invictus Australia to support veterans and their families through sport.
If you're part of the Wounded, Injured, or Ill (WII) community, head to the 'We Are Invictus' app now to express your interest to have your registration supported by the Invictus Games Foundation.
For Army veteran Ramon, the Women in Fitness HIIT Program isn’t just a way to stay active, it is a space that supports her mental wellbeing, strengthens her connection with her daughter and introduces her to a community that understands the unique aspects of military life.
We see a world in which all members of the Australian Defence community are active and connected through the power of sport and recreation to enhance their physical and mental wellbeing throughout their lives.
